SINGLE LINE RESISTANCE

Centralized lubrication systems are design to provide exact metered
amounts of fresh lubrication, at the proper intervals, to the desired
locations on your machinery.
Single line resistance systems (SLR) are compact, reliable, low
pressure oil lubrication systems which consist of four basic elements.
1.) PUMPS - manual, air, or motor driven.
2.) METERING UNITS - orifices of various sizes designed to create flow
resistance to each bearing point.
3.) DISTRIBUTION NETWORK - hose & tubing plus various junctions and
connectors.
4.) MONITORING DEVICES - pressure gauge, low oil level switch, pressure
switch.

Each meter unit and control unit
has a flow rate and feed
direction marked on each fitting.
Do not attempt to adjust or
repair.
Meter Units and Control Units both create flow resistance.
The main difference is that the meter unit uses a check valve
to prevent oil drain back between lubricating cycles. Therefore,
Meter Units are used in one shot or cyclic type lubricating
systems.  Control Units are used in continuous type lubrication
systems.
